The British Council has announced the launch of the Festival Connect Fund 2025, a new initiative designed to foster collaboration between festivals in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK. The fund aims to support festival organizers through financial grants, capacity building, and cross-cultural exchange, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and community impact.

Eligible festivals with at least two completed editions must be based in African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Rwanda, partnering with festivals in the UK. Supported projects can include performances, residencies, workshops, exhibitions, and digital or hybrid events, with a focus on youth engagement, creative technology, and storytelling.

Applicants can apply for funding at one of three levels: £5,000, £10,000, or £15,000, depending on the scope of the proposed collaboration.
