Paperworth Books, publishers of novels, short stories, biographies, and drama, have set up a bookshop in the iconic Freedom Park, hive of cultural activities in Africa’s largest city.
The shop is named Books& More, which is not just a bookshop but a platform.
Books & More is one of the several imprints of Paperworth Books, which include Book Solutions and Publishing Services.
Paperworth says it is delighted and “honoured to be the resident bookshop at this historical and significant location and look forward to welcoming all at the shop soon”.
The Freedom Park is located on the site of an old Prison and has in recent years gained acclaim and awards for its contributions to the renaissance of the arts and literary scene in Lagos.
Some of the titles published by Paperworth Books include Piece &Pieces, a collection of short stories by Paul Ugbede; Our Son the Minister, a full length drama piece by the same author; Tomorrow Died Yesterday, the highly discussed novel on the National Delta crisis by Chimeka Garricks, Jagaba, a play by Abdul-Qudus Ibrahim and Scarred Roses, a novel by Amara Mba Kalu.
