The special issue of Nokoko on stand-up comedy in Africa (Volume 10: The Aesthetics, Politics, and Cultural Economy of African Stand-up Comedy), is now available online. A major highlight are excerpts of revealing interviews with four pioneering female stand-up comedians from West Africa, East Africa, and Southern Africa, captioned “What has gender got to do with African comedy and stand-up acts?”
