Demola Ogunajo is a painter who explores the philosophical complexities of modern life in a playful and humorous manner. Demola references mythical characters and ambiguous narratives, inserting a spectacular twist to the routine dilemmas of our daily experiences.
Dricky Stickman is inspired by popular culture and urban style, often times painting directly on clothing, garments and handbags. In this series, Dricky imagines a futuristic vision of Lagos, merging together iconic elements of the city alongside flying saucers and space rockets.
Best known as the illustrator who created twenty-six album covers for celebrated Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, Lemi Ghariokwu’s artworks include bold graphic elements with bright colors and reductionist forms. His artwork often comments on political and social issues and celebrates the richness of African culture.
Williams Chechet is interested in popular images that circulate in our culture, focusing on symbols of Nigerian society through a pop art lens. Isolating photographs on colored backgrounds with references to cartoons, Williams explores the faces and characters of Northern Nigeria.
