CORA Holds 10th Annual Book Party for Nigeria Prize Finalists

Committee for Relevant Art, CORA is pleased to invite you to a BOOK PARTY this Sunday July 28, 2019 at The Muson Centre in Lagos

It’s the 10th annual feast of its kind.

The Party will honour the 11 writers whose books have been shortlisted for the $100,000 Nigeria Prize for Literature.

The book party is a way of ensuring that there’s a robust audience engagement with the books that have been longlisted for this award; A work that makes it to the last 11 is worthy of significant public acknowledgement.

The books and authors to be celebrated include Ginika’s Adventures by Nneka OchicheOBIOMA by Nkiru UzohMystery at Ebenezer Lodge by Dunni OlatunjiSpurred Surprises by Lami Adejoh OpawaleA Hero’s Welcome by Ndidi Chiazor Enenmor, Double ‘A’ For Adventure by Anisa Daniel Oniko, The Great Walls of Benin by Ndidi Chiazor Enenmor, Igho Goes to Farm by Anote Ajeluorou, She Calls Him Daddy, by Oladele Medaiyese, Boom Boom by Jude Idada and Buried Beneath the bBaobab Tree by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

These books are all works of Children Literature.

CORA believes in the building of the soft infrastructure of the book industry; the presence and improvement of book reviews in the old and new media, the availability and utility of a functional library system, the efficiency of distribution and the profitability of the vocation of writing.

You are invited to come and converse with these awesome writers; to meet, greet and feast with them. We ask you to share their day in the sun with them, gain insight into their works, engage them.
